Respiratory Protection Course Description
Respirators are the most important element of a personal protective equipment program, and this course discusses all types of air-purifying and supplied air systems, their strengths and weaknesses, protection factors; proper care, cleaning, maintenance, and storage; inspection, user seal checks, and fit tests. Also covered are the elements of a written respiratory protection program, and the medical evaluations required prior to an employee being allowed to wear a respirator on the job.
