40 Hour OSHA Hazwoper Initial Course Description:
This 40 hour online course provides the Hazwoper Worker a thorough, in-depth education in OSHA’s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Standards, which require employees to complete appropriate HAZWOPER training prior to entering or beginning work on an emergency response or at an uncontrolled hazardous waste site operation. OSHA recommends workplace safety training for a safe and healthful work environment. This is why those who work on a job site where hazardous materials are present need this course. Both general construction workers and management benefit from this training, including new hazardous waste and emergency response workers, hazardous materials technicians, hazardous materials specialists, and on-scene incident commanders. Onsite training for general site workers is also required to satisfy OSHA standards.
